Morgana claiming the throne and admitting her hatred towards Camelot was the final straw for Uther, the king and her father. Though Arthur was able to secure Camelot with Merlin and the new knights' help, Uther has become a broken man.
Arthur is forced to take more control whilst Morgana desperately tries to regain her throne. Merlin is by Arthur's side aswell as in Morgana's nightmares as she keeps having visions of someone old and mysterious called Emrys.

The kingdom is on the brink of collapse and Morgana poised to strike, in the final part of this opening episode of the fantasy drama. As Lancelot races back to Camelot with the dying Merlin, Arthur must continue on his mission to vanquish the Dorocha without them.
Though the Knight know their journey to the Isle of the Blessed is fraught with danger, none could anticipate the sacrifice Arthur intends to make there.
